Del 6 al 8 de junio se realizó el XVIII Congreso Internacional de Flebología y Linfología del Colegio Argentino de Cirugía Venosa y Linfática y VII Congreso Interuniversitario Internacional de Avances en Flebología, Linfología y Estética, evento que tuvo lugar en el Hotel Intercontinental de Buenos Aires.
El viernes 8 de junio la doctora Mariana Cannelloto, presidenta de la AAMHEI, y la bioquímica Liliana Jordá, directora científica de la AAMHEI, ofrecieron una clase sobre los fundamentos y efectos fisiológicos y bioquímicos del tratamiento de oxigenación hiperbárica, aplicación de esta terapia en heridas y flebología y sus bases en la patología infecciosa.
En el congreso hubo stands de distintos laboratorios, empresas fabricantes de dispositivos médicos de alta tecnología e insumos. Igualmente asistieron conferencistas internacionales, médicos, kinesiólogos, cirujanos vasculares, flebólogos, dermatólogos.
El importante encuentro contó con la presencia del Dr. José Antonio Díaz, destacado Miembro Honorario del Colegio Argentino de Cirugía Venosa y Linfática, Profesor Asistente de Investigación del Departamento de Cirugía de la Universidad de Michigan y Miembro del Board of Directors del American Venous Forum, quien en esta oportunidad presentó el tema “Investigación en trombosis venosa profunda. ¿Realidad o fincción?”, disertación de excelencia e innegable utilidad e interés.
Fue una excelente oportunidad y el marco ideal para estrechar relaciones con los más importantes referentes de las especialidades, pues contó con la presencia de médicos y universidades de distintos países.
Además, se brindó a todos los asistentes diversas opciones de simposios, cursos y diplomaturas universitarias, workshops, desayunos y almuerzos de trabajo, entre muchas otras actividades.

On June 8th Dr. Mariana Cannelloto, president of the AAMHEI, and biochemist Liliana Jordá, scientific director of the AAMHEI, offered a class about the fundamentals and physiological and biochemical effects of hyperbaric oxygenation treatment, the application of this therapy in wounds and phlebology and its bases in infectious pathology.
Dr. José Antonio Díaz, distinguished Honorary Member of the Argentine College of Venous and Lymphatic Surgery, Assistant Professor of Research of the Department of Surgery of the University of Michigan and Member of the Board of Directors of the American Venous Forum, presented the subject “RESEARCH IN DEEP VENOUS THROMBOSIS. REALITY OR FICTION?”.
It was an excellent opportunity and the ideal framework to strengthen relations with the most important references in these specialties, since it had the presence of doctors and universities from different countries.
In addition, it was offered various symposium options, university courses and diploma courses, workshops, breakfasts and work lunches, among many other activities.
